Quite simply, I was in love with New York. I do not mean “love” in any colloquial way, I mean that I was in love with the city, the way you love the first person who ever touches you and you never love anyone quite that way again. I remember walking across Sixty-second Street one twilight that first spring, or the second spring, they were all alike for a while. I was late to meet someone but I stopped at Lexington Avenue and bought a peach and stood on the corner eating it and knew that I had come out out of the West and reached the mirage. I could taste the peach and feel the soft air blowing from a subway grating on my legs and I could smell lilac and garbage and expensive perfume and I knew that it would cost something sooner or later – because I did not belong there, did not come from there – but when you are twenty-two or twenty-three, you figure that later you will have a high emotional balance, and be able to pay whatever it costs. I still believed in possibilities then, still had the sense, so peculiar to New York, that something extraordinary would happen any minute, any day, any month. - Joan Didion

To be honest, life has been such an amazing roller-coaster ever since I started making fitness a permanent life style of mine. Nothing has felt more rewarding than being able to know that you’re doing something right and productive in your life. I was never happy about myself back then. I told myself I needed some change, but how was I suppose to accomplish those goals if I didn’t put it into action? I like who I’m becoming a lot. Life’s a mystery, you can never find out what’ll happen to you a few years from now. Don’t let go of hope. Hope gives you the strength to keep going when you feel like giving up. Don’t let anyone hold your happiness in their hands. Hold it in yours, so it will always be within your reach. Don’t wait for what you want to come to you. Go after it with all that you are, knowing that life will meet you halfway. Don’t feel like you have lost when plans and dreams fall short of your hopes. Anytime you learn something new about yourself or about life, you have progressed. Don’t ever forget who helped you grow. As your need for more seeds may often re-appear. With all the above, live life to its fullest.

VISA 2013!!! We killed it on stage and brought home 2nd place! No words can express the range of emotions I feel for FSA. Nothing I say will ever be enough to fully describe the different nuances that surround this organization. We are a family. We are love. We are life.

the synths, the fashion, the dancing, the line, the highlight of the show on a Saturday morning in years gone by. Note to self; if you have a chance to dance, dance. Time can make even the best dancers look like fools to some, and if you are not “the best” no one will even remember. You will unfortunately remember all the times you wanted to get up and get down, but were afraid because some random person you will never see again might snicker at you.

WELL SAID!
